Blandford St Mary Parish Council will be holding a Parish Council meeting on the 5th of March 2025 at the Brewery Hall in Hall & Woodhouse Visitor Centre at 7pm.
YOUR VILLAGE!
As a new or long time resident of Blandford St Mary you will be aware of the various aspects such as The Brewery, Stour Park, St Mary’s Church, The School or even the badgers on the roundabout. We are lucky to have such variety within this community.
Helping to keep the community aspect thriving is your Parish Council who devoted time and energy promoting play areas, a new community (village) hall, allotments etc.. The parish councillors do this work voluntarily on a monthly basis and would welcome additional members to help.
Can you spare ONE hour per month of your valuable time to help YOUR community? We would welcome your involvement. Come to our next meeting on the 5th of March 2025, details are above.

Blandford St Mary is a village and civil parish in the North Dorset district of Dorset, England. The village is on the south bank of the River Stour, immediately opposite the larger town of Blandford Forum. The village grew up around the Badger Brewery, owned by Hall and Woodhouse, which is based there.
Blandford St Mary has a great recreation area and Play Area and there are future projects to be agreed to improve this area even more. There is a busy Tesco supermarket and fuel station and a Homebase DIY store which attracts shoppers from the many villages that surround the area. There is a good primary school and good pre-school in the village. An older area of the village near the river bridge to Blandford Forum has a traditional public house and a village green. Opposite is the old stone gate at the entrance of the Bryanston School estate.
Lower Blandford St Mary is a rural outpost of Blandford St Mary, in the farm fields to the south across the bypass road, with a small church and graveyard, and historic houses.
The Parish Council work closely with local residents and other local organisation’s to make sure that the Council are providing the best service they can for their residents.
